Upcoming Opportunities

SOHM offer short–term mission trips to Uganda, for individuals and to church groups, schools and businesses, to experience what life is like for countless children, young people and adults alike. A life in which modern–day comforts don’t exist, where many may never have seen a computer or television screen, nor have access to running water or electricity.

Whilst in Uganda, you could be part of a wide range of team activities. There are opportunities to visit SOHM’s under the care children, organising summer schemes, work with street kids through the Street Reach programme

Witness the dramatic difference that love, care and shelter can make to a young life.

Of course, there are plenty of opportunities to get your hands dirty too! Impact the country by being part of an exciting development project. You could be involved in building a new school, brick laying or painting. On the job training provided, no experience necessary!

Can I visit the Country or the program I am sponsoring?

We always look forward to hosting our sponsors /Donors our dear country the pearl of Africa we feel obligated to transport our sponsors inside the Country accommodate and feed them so we welcome each volunteers, Donor that willing to involve himself or herself with any project or activity of Smile of hope. Uganda is the most beautiful Country in Africa, the greenest cities, clean and hospitable.

Apart from being the pearl of Africa, Uganda has the longest river in Africa “source” it also accommodates the highest number of bird species with most animal species in Africa being the second tourist destitution in Centre and East Africa.

Smile of hope Ministries stays and always promise to stay in touch with the sponsors and donors for they are crucial and very important stake holders if any change/ impact is to be realized.

Do you stay in touch with Grant recipient or Donors?

Smile of hope always promises to stay in touch with Donors/sponsors with their sponsored projects/Donations, by giving out needful updates.

How do I stay in touch?

We always look forward to satisfy our Donors/sponsors by keeping in touch writing Quarterly and annual reports inviting to general meeting e.t.c

If our sponsor/volunteer decides to visit us his/her life will never remain the same and of course the ministerial life too because Uganda has the highest growing population in Africa and the highest refugee and Orphan in sub saharan Africa so our assurance to our volunteers and sponsors is total life experience if choose “Journey to Uganda”
